The Salizzoni Agricultural Company was founded in 1986 from Valter Salizzoni's passion for viticulture and for the valorisation of the wines of the Trentino area, the cradle of wine for centuries. The cellar is located in the historic center of Calliano, in the heart of Vallagarina. The company is family-run, everything is commensurate with the craftsmanship of the production and the five hectares of vineyards that extend across the municipalities of Calliano, Nomi and Isera are cultivated with great attention to the environment and tradition, an example of which is the pergola cultivation system. The heart of the activities are located inside the ancient Palazzo Valentini, from the eighteenth century, where the vinification of all the labels and the refinement in small barrels are carried out. The company also offers hospitality with a small farmhouse that offers tourists the opportunity to stay in an oasis of peace and relaxation and taste the company's products. The most representative wine of Vallagarina is Marzemino, which has allowed this area to achieve incredible goals, on a commercial level, supported by the elegance and quality of the wine. If Marzemino expresses the so-called terroir of the area, the Salizzoni winery also offers other excellent wines, flagships of local production such as Chardonnay, Perlato, obtained from the best Rülander grapes, "Palazzo Valentini" aged in small barrels of oak and finally the "Victor", an important red, introduced in 2006, to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the winemaking activity, as well as as a celebration of the founder of the company, Vittorio, Valter's father. The company therefore has as its objective the representation and testimony of the Vallagarina territory in the new markets that it reaches through its communications action all over the world. With Luca, Valter's son, the new generation was introduced: a newly appointed winemaker at the Agricultural Institute of San Michele All'Adige, he represents the guarantee of business continuity, as well as an eye to the future, aiming at the evolution of cellar preserving its tradition.
