Castell'In Villa

The Castell'in Villa winery is located in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the heart of Chianti Classico. The estate, of around three hundred hectares, was purchased in 1968 by Riccardo and Coralia Pignatelli della Leonessa and, after a careful conservative restoration, today Castell'in Villa overlooks the rolling hills of Chianti, surrounded by vineyards and centuries-old woods, still maintaining its its medieval charm. The goal, from the beginning, was to produce quality wines that reflected the Chianti traditions. To achieve this goal, the winery has invested in modern technologies and selected the best vineyards on the estate, creating extraordinary wines. Over the years, the estate has gained a solid reputation for producing high-quality wines, such as Chianti Classico, but also Supertuscan and the famous Vin Santo. These wines have been enthusiastically welcomed by enthusiasts and critics and have obtained numerous awards and recognition at a national and international level. Today, the Castell'in Villa winery is managed by a team of experts, who work with passion and dedication to always produce local wines, expressed in the 54 hectares of vineyards on the estate. In the structure we also find a particular welcome or a refined B&B, La Gazzara, which is located inside a 13th century convent, located among the vineyards, overlooking the splendid hills and an elegant restaurant that expresses the renowned local cuisine . The winery also organizes guided tours and tastings for tourists who want to discover the secrets of Tuscan wine production.
