The Santadi winery was founded in 1960 by a group of grape producers, coordinated by ETFAS, the body for land and agricultural transformation in Sardinia, with the aim of transforming the grapes in an associated form and selling the wine. obtained. The location is in Santadi, a south-western area of Sardinia, in the heart of Sulcis. Until the 1980s the activity was limited to the production and sale of bulk wine, with timid initiatives to sell bottled wine, with poor results. With the arrival of a new board of directors, headed by the current president Antonello Pilloni, the turning point occurred. The new management group is animated by great enthusiasm and passion and, having called in the internationally renowned oenologist Giacomo Tachis as a consultant, who takes the fate of the Santadi winery to heart, he becomes fond of the territory and with his intervention the wines of the Santadi winery Santadi make a leap in quality, so much so that they are immediately accepted in the most important markets, with recognition of great quality and a strong identity. From then to today it has been a continuous growth, the Santadi wine brand is increasingly widespread and appreciated throughout the world, whose success is certainly due to the team, i.e. the producers, administrators, salespeople, collaborators and workers all of which represent a wealth of great professionalism for the territory.

From these assumptions comes a range of highly prestigious wines, among which Terre Brune , Carignano Rocca Rubia and Grotta Rossa stand out, as well as white wines of great expressiveness, such as Vermentino Cala Silente .
