Musella

The Musella winery is located inside a rural courtyard from the 1500s, a corner of paradise a few steps from Verona. Originally used as a stable for the estate, the cellar has been restored and transformed into an environment equipped with the most modern winemaking technologies. Today it is managed by Emilio Pasqua and his daughter Maddalena, who have carried out the business following the principles of biodynamic agriculture since 2009, certified by the Italian Demeter Association and by Biodynamic Farmer of the World. It is a very important choice of field, a decisive and precise desire aimed at safeguarding the environment and the desire to become in tune with it. The vineyards of the Musella winery extend over clayey soils for approximately 50 hectares, between woods and waterways, and are made up of plots located on three different hills and exposed mainly to the West: Monte del Drago, Perlar and Palazzina. For example, the treatment on the plants with fresh milk of the day, which creates a film of proteins protecting against fungi, is interesting and very particular. The Musella winery has chosen to focus on the production of typical Valpolicella wines, to give credit back to traditional grapes, the expression of a territory rich in unique nuances and complexities.
