The Pieropans in the Soave area are a real institution: Nino is in fact rightly considered the father of Recioto di Soave and Leonido Senior the precursor of the fortunes of the precious Soave. Four generations then followed who marked the history of the Pieropan company. Each with different contributions in relation to the times and the entrepreneurial spirit, but without ever forgetting the origins. After taking over the winery in 1970, the young Leonildo gradually began a campaign of acquiring the most suitable land. The first Soave Cru was released in 1971 and was called Calvarino. But it was in 1978 that Leonildo Pieropan launched Soave from the La Rocca vineyard, with 100% Garganega, a true Cru. Today his sons Andrea and Dario, both with degrees in viticulture and oenology, collaborate in the vineyard with their father and were also the inspiration for a new adventure, namely the production of a red wine, which began in 1999, when Nino purchased land , in Valpolicella. The first red of the family is therefore called Ruberpan. The most prestigious labels of the production are therefore: Ruberpan, Calvarino, La Rocca and Recioto. They are wines that stand out for their elegance and for being authentic expressions of the territory. Respecting as much as possible the balance of the environment, nature and ecosystem, Pieropan embraces the philosophy of organic agriculture and the grapes that are harvested and vinified from season to season are always valuable and rich. In the cellar, tradition and modernity coexist in close symbiosis: from pressing the bunches to winemaking, from aging to refinement, each phase is scrupulously and carefully monitored, so as to give rise to excellent wines. Whether it is wines from Soave or from Valpolicella (where Pieropan has progressively extended its vineyards) the wines respond to the highest possible level of quality: from Soave Classico to Ripasso and Amarone della Valpolicella, passing through the Spumante Rosé “Ghes” , all wines worth trying and unlikely to forget.
