'Contrada Marchesa' Etna Rosso DOC Contrada Marchesa Donnafugata 2018

From the best vineyards located on the north side of Etna, on the eastern side of Sicily, comes this important red: the Contrada Marchesa Etna Rosso DOC . Certainly a worthy representative of the Donnafugata Winery, an internationally renowned winery, specialized in producing wines with an entirely organic process, in full respect of the territory. Etna Rosso is obtained 100% from Nerello Mascalese grapes, making the most of the fertile soils on the slopes of Etna, with considerable temperature ranges. The vinification takes place in steel tanks, the following refinement is carried out first in oak barrels (14 months) and then in bottles for another 18 months. The result is a red wine of great taste, robust and harmonious, with a prominent structure, combined with good freshness. The Contrada Marchesa Etna Rosso DOC reaches its best taste between 3 and 4 years after bottling, even if it can easily reach 10 years of age, thus improving over time.
