It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

Negroamaro Masseria Maime is a red wine classified as Salento IGT. It is produced by the Tormaresca cellars owned by the Antinori family, within the Masseria Maime estate, which gives the wine its name. The estate is located in Puglia, in the upper Salento, near the Adriatic coast. Negroamaro Masseria Maime is produced using exclusively Negroamaro grapes, a vine of Greek origin that has found the best conditions in Salento to express itself at its best. This wine represents the more austere version of Negroamaro, a dry wine characterized by a marked acidity, which however does not lack sweet and spicy nuances. The harvest takes place around mid-September. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels where aging also begins, which then continues for several months in the bottle. Negroamaro Masseria Maime is a rich, intense, extremely elegant and balanced wine, with a good persistence, which is well suited to important meat dishes.
