Vinopuro's advices

Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description
Monleale is a rich and intense wine that is produced at the Vigneti Massa di Monleale winery. The family-run company was founded in 1879 and has the great merit of having re-evaluated and proposed with great success a little-considered native vine, Timorasso. In this case, the grapes used are pure Barbera, from vines located at an altitude of 300 meters on soils rich in limestone and favored by the temperate climate of Piedmont. All the processing phases are carried out with the utmost respect for the environment, limiting each intervention to a minimum so as not to affect the natural expression of the territory. After the harvest, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation is carried out with maceration lasting 12 days on the skins, without the wine being able to undergo filtrations. The refinement takes place in barriques for 24 months and for a further 12 months in the bottle. Monleale is an intense and complex wine, perfect for immediate drinking, but it can evolve in the cellar for 4/5 years if properly stored.
