Description
Nes Passito di Pantelleria DOC is a sweet wine that already stands out from the name, as it means miracle. It is made by Cantine Pellegrino 1880 on the volcanic island of Pantelleria. It comes from Zibibbo grapes vinified in purity, grown up to an altitude of 300 m. The vines are found on clayey and rather sandy soils, they also benefit from a warm and breezy climate. After a harvest aimed at picking the best bunches, the grapes are subjected to a soft pressing. Fermentation is slow and takes place in steel containers where, before bottling, the wine also undergoes a period of refinement. Nes Passito di Pantelleria DOC is characterized by an unmistakable taste that best expresses the typical aromas and scents of the area. It can also be tasted immediately, however it is possible to let it rest for several more years, resulting in a wine capable of getting richer over time.
