Recommended glass

Ballon
Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

As required by the regulations, this extraordinary Barolo is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, coming from the Brunate Cru, one of the most suitable areas in the municipality of La Morra , with vineyards aged between 50 and 60 years, therefore with a low yield of grapes and very high quality . Great importance is given to the cultivation of the vine, with organic methods since 2010, strict manual selection of the grapes, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, destemming and very delicate pressing. In the best years, manual shelling. Fermentation and maceration for about 25 days, at a controlled temperature of about 28°C. Malolactic fermentation follows in December. Aging in 20 Hl French oak barrels for about 30 months. Bottling at the end of summer, further refinement in the bottle before being marketed for a period of one year. Total production limited to 2000 bottles . In the glass, it appears ruby tending towards garnet with intense notes of rose and violet, accompanied by a hint of wet earth and ripe red fruit. Very long tannins, however sweet, speak of an evolution that will be completed much later in time. Elegance and so much finesse, with good structure, complexity and olfactory and gustatory richness that make this wine an anthology of ever-changing aromas and tastes. Very remarkable.
