Description
Lefkos Ischia Bianco DOC is a wine made by the Neapolitan winery Cenatiempo . It is obtained from a blend that includes 90% of the two native varieties Biancolella and Forastera, to which is added the remaining 10% of other local vines. Near the municipality of Serrara Fontana, the vines have their roots in a soil of volcanic origin, which boasts a mineral substrate capable of giving great finesse to the bunches. The south-west exposure and the espalier system, traditionally used on the island of Ischia, contribute to the luxuriant growth of the vine. Towards the beginning of October, the manual harvest allows for the selection of the best bunches which are then transported to the cellar for vinification. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks, where the wine also remains for the subsequent refinement phase of 4-5 months. Perfect immediately, Lefkos Ischia Bianco DOC is a wine that can be tasted with satisfaction even after 2-3 years of careful aging in the cellar.
