'448 slm Schiava' Vineyards of the Dolomites IGT Girlan 2022

The 448 slm Schiava "Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT" is a refreshing and light wine, masterfully made by the historic Girlan winery. The label comes to life on the South Tyrolean Cornaiano vineyards, whose grapes grow on sandy soils and at an altitude of 448 meters, as well expressed by the name of the wine. The ideal conditions for the maturation of the vines are completed by the marked temperature range that distinguishes the province of Bolzano. To obtain Girlan's rosé one must start from a careful blending of Pinot Noir, Lagrein and Schiava grapes. Once selected, the highest quality bunches are subjected to a soft destemming, followed by maceration on the skins for 12 hours. The refinement takes place entirely in steel tanks and allows the organoleptic characteristics of the wine to fully develop. Aging is completed after 5 months and as a result gives life to an elegant label, but at the same time also light and with a good structure. The 448 slm Schiava "Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT" should be consumed immediately and does not require further aging periods.
