Description
Al Passo Rosso Toscana IGT is a structured wine produced by the Tolaini Chianti winery. The label comes from a balanced blend, which includes Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The three red berried varieties are present in almost identical percentages. The plots are located on the hill that gives the wine its name. The substrates boast a composition with high percentages of limestone and clay, two elements that ensure drainage and nourishment until the manual harvest. In the cellar, the vinification begins with the alcoholic fermentation in contact with the skins. For this passage of about 20 days, the company divides the grapes into two distinct lots: one ferments in steel tanks, while the other in wooden vats. The refinement lasts for one year and two months and takes place both in barriques and in large oak barrels. Excellent right from the start, Al Passo Rosso Toscana IGT is a complex and structured wine, it can therefore evolve further if carefully stored in the cellar for another 5-6 years.
