Barbaresco DOCG Prunotto 2020

Prunotto Barbaresco is one of the best known and most renowned wines of the Marchesi Antinori winery. We are in Piedmont, where the climate and the geology of the slopes allow for the ideal cultivation of Nebbiolo, the grape that makes up this excellent red wine. The harvest of these grapes takes place in mid-October and is still done by hand. After 15 days of maceration, fermentation takes place in oak barrels at 30°C. The process ends with a rest of 10 months in the glass bottles. This wine is one of a kind and the proof of this lies in the numerous awards it has received. Suffice it to say that it was awarded by Gambero Rosso, by the weekly l'Espresso, by the unforgettable chef and oenologist Veronelli and, finally, by the illustrious international magazine Wine Spectator. Prunotto Barbaresco, with its intense garnet red colour, the scent of undergrowth and red fruits that gives way to tobacco and violets, is an exceptional wine to amaze guests, even the most demanding ones.
