'Berardenga' Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG Felsina 2018

The Chianti Classico Riserva Berardenga from the famous Chianti Classico Fèlsina winery is a red wine with Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes from vineyards cultivated in Castelnuovo Berardenga. A wine of substance, whose first year of production dates back to 1967. This Sangiovese is a real tribute to the Chianti Classico winemaking tradition. Chianti Classico Riserva Berardenga is a particular organic wine, made with grapes harvested in different periods, this because they are the fruit of vineyards cultivated at different altitudes. After the harvest, the grapes are vinified in steel tanks, after which, between the months of March and April, the Sangiovese is mostly aged in Slavonian oak barrels, while a small percentage follows the refinement in barriques of second and third passage, where it ages for 1 year, after which the Sangiovese is blended and bottled. However, before being marketed it must be aged in the bottle for another 3 months. The result is an intense, rich and aromatic red, a full-bodied wine that is characterized by its good persistence.
