Description
Characterized by a combination of extreme finesse and great taste, Il Carignano del Sulcis "Buio", a red wine produced with 100% Carignano grapes from the Mesa winery, was born in the south of Sardinia, in the Sulcis area, which combines calcareous-clayey and sandy soils with an ideal Mediterranean climate for the maturation of grapes of great value, the harvest of which is carried out completely by hand. After that, the grapes are placed inside concrete and steel tanks for the maceration and fermentation phases. The Gavino Sanna winery, founded in 2004, is located in an area of the south-west end of the island called Carignano del Sulcis, and its vineyards, thanks to the wind that blows for a large part of the growth periods of the grapes, are almost free of moisture. Carignano del Sulcis "Buio" is a wine that can be drunk immediately or after having left it to rest in the cellar, even for a period of up to 3 years.
