Conus from the Alois Lageder winery is a red biodynamic wine with an intense and soft flavour, elegant and structured. The name of this wine is closely linked to the area where the grapes that give it origin are grown. The Lagrein vine, a native grape variety of Alto Adige, is in fact found on a detrital cone in the village of Magré, in the province of Trento. Here there is a high concentration of gravel and sand which gives a particular minerality to the grapes. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the company and vinified in red. The first phase of this process involves fermentation on indigenous yeasts in steel tanks, to then move on to the refinement which takes place partly in wood and partly in steel. The entire winemaking process is carried out following the principles of biodynamics, with the utmost respect for the territory and the rhythms of nature. All the vineyards of the Alois Lageder winery have been converted to biodynamic, in an attempt to consolidate the link between the wines produced and the terroir of origin. The Conus succeeds perfectly in this aim, with its intense and structured taste. A perfect wine even after a few years.
