'Domaine de Valmoissine' Pinot Noir IGP Var Louis Latour 2021

The Domaine de Valmoissine Pinot Noir IGP Var is a red wine from the Louis Latour winery. The Domaine stands on the site of the ancient monastery of Valmoissine, at an altitude of 500 metres. It is here, within the property, that the vineyards where the Pinot Noir is grown which will give rise to this interesting monovarietal expression are found. They are exposed to the south, an aspect that allows the bunches to reach excellent ripeness. Furthermore, to ensure that the grapes arrive at the perfect sugar concentration, the yield of grapes, per plant, is reduced. After the September harvest, the fermentation takes place, according to tradition, inside wooden vats. Aging, on the other hand, is carried out in steel tanks and lasts for a period of between ten and twelve months. The Domaine de Valmoissine Pinot Noir IGP Var is an elegant red characterized by a remarkable finesse. Excellent for dinners based on succulent dishes, its structure makes it suitable for resting in the cellar, exploiting the aging potential which extends up to 4/5 years.
