- It is the perfect goblet for light and medium-structured rosé wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Description
On the slopes of Etna, in the wonderful and rural Sicily, the Etna DOC Rosato wine of the Cottanera estate is born. In Castiglione di Sicilia, along the northern slopes of the volcano, in the early years of the new millennium a winery was founded and developed, strongly linked to the traditions and to its land. Today it boasts a total of 100 hectares, of which 65 are vineyards. The soils of lava origin, rich in substances, the not excessively high temperatures and the abundant rains in the autumn period favor the correct growth of the vines. This rosé wine is produced from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes. After the cryo-maceration in a cold press, useful for obtaining the perfect extraction of the color and the fermentation at a controlled temperature for about 20 days, the refinement on the lees in steel tanks follows. Etna DOC Rosato is an intense, fresh wine, full of flavor. It was born to be a ready-to-drink wine, but its characteristics allow it to refine over time, if stored correctly in the cellar.
