Obtained 100% from Tocai Friulano grapes: perhaps the most representative and well-known white wine of Collio, but which since 2007 has had to give up its name in favor of Hungary, changing it to Friulano. Mentioned for the first time in the 1632 dowry agreement of Aurora Formentini, noblewoman of San Floriano, who brought to her husband “vitti di Toccai… 300”. Vinification: obtained from soft pressing of grapes macerated for 24-48 hours at low temperatures. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Then follows the conservation "sur lie" until bottling. The color is straw yellow, bright and brilliant. Nose, intense and persistent with marked hints of hay, almond and dried yellow flowers, closing with the memory of ripe golden apple. The taste is a soft wine, but with a well-balanced sapidity, which guarantees the pleasure of drinking, with an elegant bitter aftertaste and almond aftertaste. It should be served cold, around 8 – 10° C, as this is how you can capture all its fragrance. Aperitif wine, appetizers, San Daniele raw ham and various cold cuts, soups and dry first courses. It also goes perfectly with Montasio cheese and goes well with baked or marinated fish-based dishes.
