Cantina Tani is a young company from Gallura, born from the passion of a family for the territory and which decided to dedicate body and soul to the production of wine, especially Vermentino. Officially, Tani was born in 2008, but its history originated twenty-eight years earlier when the two brothers Franco and Tonino Tani purchased the first land and planted the first Vermentino vineyards, still the basis of the company's production today. The idea was to be able to produce a qualitatively excellent wine and market it, but this second phase was temporarily set aside in favor of a family-run farmhouse, based on typical dishes and their products from the vineyard, which took its name from the wine created, “Il Vermentino”. Since its actual opening. as a real winery, this small company has managed to impose its name on the market, despite the many large competitors, thanks to the quality of its products. The main part of the cellar is located in Monti, a municipality in the province of Sassari, about three hundred meters above sea level, and is surrounded by Vermentino vineyards, the proximity of which allows the immediate processing of the freshly harvested grapes, thus guaranteeing freshness and manual selection for the quality of the bunches. Not far from the white vineyards you can also find red grape vineyards, located higher up, on the slopes of Mount Olia, to have more suitable soil for growth and better exposure for this type of grapes. In general, the Monti terroir is particularly recognized for its quality, so much so that it is part of the National Association of Wine Cities. The company's production philosophy requires the utmost respect for nature and what it has to offer and it is precisely with this concept in mind that the entire winemaking process takes place inside the cellar. Tani's flagship wines are the two whites produced, the "Taerra" and the "Meoru", both Vermentino DOCG di Gallura, capable of best reflecting the values and aromas of their territory.
