Masut da Rive

The Gallo family has been managing the prestigious Masùt da Rive winery since 1900, a reality that is therefore well rooted in the province of Gorizia, which for several generations has therefore dedicated itself to the production of quality wines, obsessively taking care of the vineyards and seeking perfection in the cellar. The objective of the winery is very clear today: respecting the tradition acquired over the years, the idea is to create wines with a modern, current and international taste. Therefore the focus that animates these producers is represented by the need to faithfully express the typical features of this terroir, which has always been a land of great white wines, but also to develop excellent interpretations of red wines, primarily Pinot Noir, undoubtedly among the labels of highlight of the cellar. The search for quality begins in the vineyard: the natural cycles of the vine are followed carefully, in order to harvest the fruit at the right time. The harvest is carried out strictly by hand and then reaches the vinification in the cellar, where the interventions to be implemented are decided based on the specific peculiarities of each vintage. We want to keep the aroma of each individual grape intact, making the most of it thanks to obsessive work in the vineyard. In the cellar, soft vacuum pressing takes place and then fermentations carried out with selected yeasts, then refining the base wines in steel for the whites, to preserve their freshness, and in fine French wooden barrels, for the red wines. The winery has created 3 lines of labels that highlight the company philosophy well: the "Scudi" selection which represents the classics of the territory; then the line of top labels, identified by "White Label" and "Black Label", which collect and offer high-level white and red wines, all based on prestigious international vines.
