In 1947, Roger Pouillon, at the time a winemaker for a Champagne shopkeeper, decided to vinify and elaborate a Champagne from a few acres of vineyards he owned in the municipality of Mutigny.
Over the years, Roger becomes passionate about Champagne and chooses to realize his passion by creating his own brand to market his wines. Thus was born the «Champagne Roger Pouillon».
In 1967, the vineyard of almost 1 hectare extends over 3 municipalities.
The bottles mature in the cellar, reaching 50,000 units. In 1998, Fabrice, the youngest of the children, moved in with his parents. After studying viticulture, oenology and commerce, he followed in the footsteps of Roger and James, developing the small cellar. Bring new ideas. It works with environmentally friendly cultivation practices and practices artisanal and thoughtful viticulture in its vineyards. As for commercial activity, they diversify by allowing Champagnes Pouillon to be exported abroad (United States, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Italy, Belgium, Canada, Australia and England). Exports now represent 30% of sales which reach 85,000 bottles per year. The land is worked with great respect for the environment, through the adoption of organic and biodynamic cultivation practices . Patience, love and dedication, technical competence and intelligence: these are the primary ingredients to give life to a unique and authentic recipe, capable of creating high quality Champagnes appreciated all over the world.
