Hofstatter

The winery is based in Termeno, in an imposing 16th century building and is a historical brand of Alto Adige, a first level reality managed by the experience of Martin Foradori, heir of an ancient family of winemakers who owned vineyards of value on the eastern side of the Val d'Adige. The family's objective has always been to combine in the best possible way the centuries-old winemaking tradition with precious and timely innovation, observing cultivation techniques with low environmental impact. The excellent quality of Hofstatter's wines reassures us that this goal has been achieved, achieved year after year, creating wines with great elegance and balance, in perfect South Tyrolean style. The "international" vines Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are the three most cultivated reds on the estates and give life to important wines, without forgetting the excellent results achieved by the native Lagrein. But Alto Adige is above all synonymous with elegant white wines and Martin Foradori has proven to be an excellent author of this excellence. Hofstatter offers truly unique and characteristic Gewurztraminer, together with Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Muller Thurgau. In the company's cru, the prestigious high hill vineyard called Vigna San Michele, in the Barthenau estate, famous and important expressions of Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc are born, the jewels of the entire Hofstatter production. Detail to detail and daily commitment in the sunny and well-exposed vineyards are the secrets of the success of this important winemaking reality from Alto Adige. Martin Foradori also believed and invested in technology by creating a cutting-edge cellar and building, for example, a futuristic 'wine tower' above the cellar and equipping himself with new conical-shaped concrete "barrels", with low energy impact. The perfect balance of all elements allows Hofstatter wines to place themselves, consistently over time, at the top of the quality of South Tyrolean production and to represent it at its best.
