'Meczan' Pinot Noir Vineyards of the Dolomites IGT Hofstatter 2021

Meczan Alto Adige Pinot Nero DOC is a delicate and elegant red wine, made through the skilful techniques of the Hofstatter company. The label is made from the vineyards of Mazzon, a small wine-growing town located in the province of Bolzano. The climate in this part of South Tyrol is influenced by the Dolomites, with rather wide temperature variations between day and night. The soils are rich in mineral substances, especially clay and sand. The harvest begins with a careful manual selection of the best 100% pure Pinot Noir bunches. The juice obtained from the destemming of the berries is poured into large steel barrels, where the wine is left to age for a few months. Meczan Alto Adige Pinot Nero DOC is a perfect red wine for immediate consumption and does not require long storage in the cellar. Persistent and soft, elegant and ethereal, it is excellent when served during an important banquet or reception.
