'Cortazo' Merlot Riserva Pfitscher 2021

Robust and complex, the Cortazo Merlot Riserva Alto Adige DOC from the Pfitscher winery is a red wine with a full flavor and the presence of refined tannins. Monovitigno from 100% merlot grapes, coming from the Brenntal vineyards located in the Corteccia area, one of the warmest in Alto Adige. The vineyards are located at an altitude of about 300 meters and the production of the wine takes place following the "traditional" method with great care and attention. The cellar has always boasted a great capacity in the cultivation and harvesting of grapes, done manually. The vinification phase takes place in the cellar with fermentation at a controlled temperature. This is combined, for a period of 14 days, with constant punching down of the pomace in special barrels. The refinement, which has a duration of twelve months, is in small oak barrels. Cortazo Merlot Riserva Alto Adige DOC is a ready-to-drink wine, with characteristics that make it ideal even after 2-3 years of storage in the cellar.
