'River' Lagrein Alto Adige DOC Pfitscher 2022

Lagrein Rivus is a red wine that comes from centenary vines of the municipalities with a high wine vocation in Alto Adige. In the family business, Pfitscher, three generations of winemakers work together to produce an honest and straightforward wine. In a glass of Lagrein Rivus we find the maximum expression of the terroir from which it comes. With love and passion for the land, Pfitscher cultivates ancient vines to produce a top quality red wine. Made with grapes from the Egna and Ora soils, of a calcareous and clayey nature, rich in sand and gravel transported by the waters of the Rio Trodena. Produced exclusively with Lagrein, a black grape variety typical of South Tyrol which finds here the ideal conditions for growth and maturation. The vinification is careful and artisanal at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. This easy-drinking red is left to age in oak barrels for six months, with further refinement in glass bottles.
