Fattoria Le Terrazze

Founded way back in 1882 by the Terni family, Fattoria Le Terrazze represents an authentic point of reference in the winemaking tradition of the Marche. The winery is located on the hills of Numana, south of the Conero park: the vineyards, therefore, are located in a particularly favorable area from a climatic point of view and can benefit from the mild hill temperatures and the proximity of the Adriatic Sea. In total, the property extends for sixteen hectares, occupied by a series of top quality vines, used for the creation of classy, elegant and full-bodied wines. This activity is accompanied by the production of an excellent olive oil, obtained from the olive groves grown in the area surrounding the vineyards. Fattoria Le Terrazze mainly cultivates the Montepulciano vine, native to central Italy and well known by wine lovers since the eighteenth century. However, various international vines are also used: among these we must remember Syrah, most likely originating from ancient Persia, and Merlot, coming from the south-eastern territories of France. The estate also uses white Chardonnay grapes, widespread throughout the world. We produce reds and whites with a genuine character and a natural flavour, a symbol and expression of our territory. Valuable and refined are the Rosso Conero DOC "Praeludium", with a soft and consistent body, and the "Sassi Neri", obtained exclusively from Montepulciano grapes. Among the most appreciated whites of Fattoria Le Terrazze we must mention the Spumante "Donna Giulia", subjected to at least four years of fermentation, and the Marche IGT "Le Cave", harmonious and persistent.
