'Occhetti' Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC Prunotto 2020

The Nebbiolo d'Alba Occhetti produced by Prunotto is a fine, elegant and rightly tannic red wine which is produced at Monteu Roero in the Piedmontese Langhe. It is made up of 100% Nebbiolo grapes. The harvest takes place at the end of September and ends in the first days of October; the grapes, after being destemmed and pressed, macerate for seven days on the skins. The refinement, partly in large barrels and partly in barriques, lasts about 18 months, after which the wine is bottled for four months before being put on the market. Nebbiolo d'Alba Occhetti is a wine that is ready today, but improves over time: it is perfect to let age at least five years in the cellar. With a great personality and a long and intense finish, this Nebbiolo best represents the classic taste of austere Piedmontese wines, always remaining a great symbol of the Langhe.
