Description
Rosso del Lupo Valcalepio DOC is a red wine produced by the Bergamo winery Tosca , intent on enhancing a little-known denomination, but with great potential. The label is mainly obtained from Merlot grapes, to which is added 30% of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Both international varieties are grown on the estate's vineyards at about 400 meters above sea level. The richness of the substrate, made up of rocks with good percentages of limestone and clay, gives the grapes a marked finesse. Once the passage of the harvest with manual sorting is completed, the grapes are placed to ferment spontaneously, inside thermo-conditioned stainless steel tanks. The refinement is divided into two phases, the first of which always takes place in steel vats and lasts about 7 months. The wine then rests for a year in large oak tonneaux. Rosso del Lupo Valcalepio DOC is a red designed to sustain long evolutions that exceed 7-8 years.
