The Rosso di Montalcino Tenuta Fanti was born from the history and winemaking tradition of one of the best wineries located on the rolling hills of Ilcino, which takes its name from the company that produces it. A cellar born in the early 19th century, which over the years has been able to renew itself without ever overshadowing the traditions and techniques handed down from generation to generation. The Rosso di Montalcino Tenuta Fanti is obtained exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, which find in the territories of Montalcino the ideal climatic conditions to ripen. The harvest is done by hand and the bunches undergo careful selection right from the vineyard. The bunches and berries undergo three checks before being destemmed and crushed. In this way the company manages to produce a fragrant, intense, fruity Sangiovese, thanks also to a vinification that takes place partly in steel and partly in wood. After an initial fermentation in stainless steel tanks, in fact, the wine is left to mature for 12 months in French oak barriques. Rosso di Montalcino Tenuta Fanti is a structured and elegant wine, it has the right tannins, typical of the vine of origin and a marked final persistence. It can evolve in the cellar for another 3 or 4 years.
