The Gattinara DOCG San Francesco wine is a red produced by the Piedmontese winery Antoniolo, a leading reality in the northern area of the region, which since 1948 has been offering the general public worthy labels. Made with Nebbiolo grapes vinified in purity, the fruit of vines grown in soils of moraine origin rich in minerals, this terroir wine is born from the perfect marriage between the most technologies and the art of traditional winemaking. A winning combination, which has led this red to obtain various awards, including that of the Bibenda Guide, which has defined it as a "high-level" wine. Made only and exclusively with indigenous yeasts, the Gattinara DOCG San Francesco takes shape from bunches rigorously harvested by hand in the month of October. Once in the cellar, the va is processed, then follows a maceration in cement for a variable period ranging from 14 to 16 days, after which the wine matures first in oak barrels, then in glass. The result is a balanced red, which stands out both for its good structure and for its persistence. A label with a full taste and an intense minerality.
