Taurasi DOCG 'Radici' Mastroberardino 2018

The Taurasi Radici red wine from the prestigious historic Mastroberardino bell is the highest expression of Irpinia's winemaking history and culture. A red with a strong personality, for a wine known beyond the borders of the Bel Paese. Produced from vineyards grown in the Taurasi DOCG, this wine is the result of the vinification of pure Aglianico. An important name that of this red, which synthetically tells the bond of the wine with the Irpinia area. A great label, a Taurasi recognized by wine critic and journalist James Suckling as an exceptional wine. Result of grapes harvested rigorously by hand between the end of October and the beginning of November, this red follows a vinification with long maceration on the skins, and then ages in barriques and oak barrels for about 24 months, after which the Taurasi Radici is bottled. Before being marketed, however, another maturation in glass follows for at least 24 months. The result is a warm red with a wide sip, a rich and elegant wine characterized by a full-bodied structure. A label with great longevity.
