Description

The Aglianico del Beneventano IGT Rocca dei Leoni is a red with ancient origins, made by the prestigious Campania farm Fattoria Villa Matilde, the same one that for more than half a century has been offering only and exclusively quality wines, fruit of the regional territories with the greatest vocation, such as the Upper Casertano, the Irpino and the Sannio Beneventano. Bronze medal at the World Wine Awards, this label takes shape from the skilful vinification of pure Aglianico grapes, the fruit of vines grown at 400 meters above sea level, on soil rich in clay, sandstone and fossil deposits. Produced for the first time in 2000, Aglianico del Beneventano IGT Rocca dei Leoni is the result of a meticulous harvest carried out in the last ten days of October. After harvesting, the bunches are transferred to the cellar, where they are first crushed and then destemmed. The marcs are subsequently macerated and then fermented. Finally, the wine ages for a period in steel, after which follows a passage in wooden barrels and one in glass for about 3 months. The finished product is a red with good longevity. A label with a warm and velvety sip, for an aromatic wine with a long persistence.
