Description
Composed of 85% Syrah grapes and the remaining part of Sangiovese, the Albiola Lazio IGT rosé wine from the Casale del Giglio winery is one of the most interesting labels produced by this winery, one of the most innovative in the Lazio wine scene. The Syrah and Sangiovese grapes are grown in the Agro Pontino area, about 50 km south of Rome, where the land enjoys the cool breeze of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Casale del Giglio wanted to accept the challenge of growing grapes in an area that does not have a long winemaking tradition behind it and to do so it chose the most suitable "international" vines for this area, with excellent results. The grapes used to produce the Albiola Lazio IGT wine ferment in stainless steel and the aging phase also takes place in steel for a few months. The product is a full and concentrated rosé wine, with a fresh sip that can be consumed immediately or stored in the cellar for 2-3 years.
