Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico Riserva 'Sergio Zenato' Zenato 2016

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG is a wine that comes from the Zenato cellar in Peschiera del Garda. The company, founded in 1960, represents one of the most expressive realities in the Valpolicella area, thanks to a careful and accurate production. The grapes come from the Corvina, Rondinella and Sereta vines exposed to the South / East at about 350 meters above sea level on soils rich in limestone and clay. After the manual harvest, only the best bunches are left to dry in the lofts for 4 months and in January we proceed with the pressing. Fermentation on the skins takes place for a period of 20 days, subsequently the wine ages in oak barrels for 4 years. Finally, the wine needs to mature for another 1 year in the bottle before being put on the market. Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Docg is an intense and rich wine, which is well suited for immediate drinking, but can also rest in the cellar for over 10 years.
