Barbera d'Alba DOC 'Vigna Francia' Giacomo Conterno 2020

Barbera d'Alba DOC Vigna Francia is a red wine with a full-bodied structure, produced by the Piedmontese winery Giacomo Conterno . It is obtained from the vinification of Barbera grapes, a local variety with characteristic aromas. The plots that give the wine its name are located near Serralunga d'Alba and are distinguished by particularly suitable soils. The meticulous work between the rows is based on environmental sustainability with the intention of preserving the balance of the ecosystem. Once the harvest has been completed with manual sorting, the selected bunches are transported to the cellar to be gently pressed. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control devices. The wine then ages in large wooden barrels for about twenty months before being bottled and marketed. Perfect right from the start, Barbera d'Alba DOC Vigna Francia also boasts enormous potential to evolve in the cellar for a few years.
