Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description

The Basilisk comes to life from a historical and timeless tradition, in the heart of the Aglianico del Vulture area. Even today, as in remote times, it is vinified in the famous 8 caves of the Vulture, in particular in those facing the north side of the mountain. The constant temperature of these stone cavities is around 16 - 18 degrees and is ideal not only for the fermentation of the wine but also for its perfect conservation. The name of this Aglianico del Vulture DOC of Basilisco recalls a meaning of Greek origin coinciding with a term that identifies the so-called. 'Little King'. Composed of 100% Aglianico grapes, it has a complex cultivation system consisting in the arrangement of the vineyards in Guyot and shed. Before reaching the table, this wine goes through a slow and meticulous maceration process, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks for a variable duration, from 15 to 30 days. It completes its maturation in French oak barriques, where it rests for about 15 months.
