The Sforzato della Valtellina Carlo Negri produced by the prestigious Lombard winery Nino Negri is an extraordinary red that takes shape from a careful selection of the best Valtellina grapes, in the most favorable years. This great standard-bearer of the local winemaking tradition is the result of the vinification of pure Nebbiolo grapes (locally Chiavennasca). The final product is a red with great longevity, which has obtained several prestigious awards, including the 3 glasses of the Gambero Rosso Guide. Carlo Negri Sforzato della Valtellina is the fruit of grapes that after natural drying are fermented in steel, where they macerate for 26 days. Subsequently the wine follows a maturation of 2 years in oak barrels, then it is bottled. The result is an aromatic, full-bodied, enveloping and very intense terroir red, a complex label, with a soft and robust sip, for a wine of depth that emerges for its long persistence. Sumptuous!
