'Contention of the Twenty' Nero d'Avola Vittoria DOC Donnafugata 2020

Contesa dei Venti Nero d'Avola Vittoria DOC is a red wine made by the Sicilian winery Donnafugata . The label is obtained from the single-variety vinification of Nero d'Avola grapes, a native red berried variety much appreciated since ancient times. In the Vittoria area, the characteristics of the soil and the climate help to favor the development of healthy grapes with a perfect sugar concentration. Once fully ripe, the best bunches are selected in the vineyard during the harvest. Upon arrival in the cellar, the grapes are left to ferment and macerate in contact with the skins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. In the same vats the wine ages for a period of 8 months, to then seal its scents in glass for another 7 months after bottling. Contesa dei Venti Nero d'Avola Vittoria DOC is a red that can be appreciated immediately, as well as after 4-5 years of rest in the cellar.
