'Derthona' Timorasso Colli Tortonesi DOC Claudio Mariotto 2020

Colli Tortonesi Timorasso DOC Derthona, a label signed by the prestigious Claudio Mariotto winery, represents a fine expression of a grape variety little known outside of Piedmont. The intent of the company is clear: to ennoble this variety, in a monovarietal expression that allows the final consumer to fully appreciate its unique characteristics. The lands on which Claudio Mariotto's vineyards are located are located at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level and enjoy excellent south-east exposure. The production philosophy is based on maintaining high quality standards: in order to produce perfect bunches, the vineyards, with an average age of forty years, have a low yield per hectare. Also in the cellar, the vinification and aging phases aim to express the varietal notes of the grapes, limiting human intervention and avoiding the passages in wood. Colli Tortonesi Timorasso DOC Derthona is perfect even if tasted as soon as it is bottled, but it can enjoy an excellent evolution if it is left to rest for 2 or 3 years.
