Description
Fides Vigna Mosconi Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC is a wine that comes from the Pio Cesare cellar in Alba, in the province of Cuneo. The company has ancient origins and has been handed down from generation to generation with the aim of affirming and making its labels and territory recognized all over the world. The grapes come from Barbera vines located on soils rich in limestone, marl and clay, where the climate is continental, with cool summers and very cold winters. After the manual harvest, through a strict selection of the grapes, fermentation takes place in steel with maceration on the skins for about 30 days. Subsequently, we proceed with the refinement which takes place in French oak barrels for about 12 months and for a short period in barriques. Fides Vigna Mosconi Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC is a full-bodied and balanced wine, which is well suited for immediate drinking, but can also rest in the cellar for at least 3-4 years.
