Champagne Grande Cuvèe 168ème Édition Brut
is produced by the famous Krug
maison, a reality that has become, over the centuries, synonymous with the absolute excellence of fine French bubbles. To create this label, which pays homage to an idea of the founder Joseph, the company focuses on a blend of over 120 "reserve" wines from different vintages. The final composition (the Cuvee) in this case includes the majority of Pinot Noir grapes (52%) with an addition of Chardonnay grapes (35%) and a small percentage of Pinot Meunier (13%) from the best vintages. Once the assembly of the "reserve" wines has been completed, the second fermentation in the bottle is foreseen, typical of the Metoto Champenoise. The wine ages for about seven very long years on the lees until the moment of the traditional "disgorgement", followed by a minimal addition of "liquer d'expedition". The Champagne Grande Cuvèe 168ème Édition Brut
is excellent right away, but reserves the best surprises over time, expressing itself in an extraordinary way even after 10 years of rest in the cellar.
