The Toscana Rosso IGT I Sodi di San Niccolò is the standard-bearer of the Chianti Castellare di Castellina winery, an important wine that has won high marks both in Italy and internationally. Made with a blend composed of Sangiovese (85%) and Malvasia Nera (15%) from vineyards grown without the use of pesticides, this Toscana IGT is a red wine of great value, one of the few SuperTuscans obtained exclusively from vines indigenous. The result of a vinification in steel, the Toscana Rosso IGT I Sodi di San Niccolò follows an aging in oak barriques for a variable period which, depending on the vintage, ranges from 12 to 30 months. The result is an intense, persistent wine with an excellent structure. A red with great longevity, excellent tasted young and truly remarkable if left to rest in the cellar, where it can remain for many years.
