Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

Description

Le Castelle Gattinara DOCG is a wine produced in the Antoniolo winery which has been safeguarding the native vines since the mid-twentieth century, in an area of northern Piedmont that can historically be considered a land of wine. In fact, this red wine derives purely from red-berried Nebbiolo vines that grow on a slightly pebbly volcanic moraine soil with a southern exposure; the peculiarity of the soil allows "Le Castelle" to be particularly fruity and rich in olfactory scents. The vinification takes place in concrete tanks for about 20 days where the fermentation is carried out with original yeasts, then the wine ages in barrique for at least 24 months with a subsequent refinement in the bottle for another 12 months. The use of barriques for such a long time gives harmony and elegance to this wine, enhancing all its characteristics. The Le Castelle Gattinara DOCG wine immediately gives us great emotions, but it can further evolve for a few years in the cellar.
