The Luce Toscana IGT wine from the historic Marchesi de' Frescobaldi winery is the first red to be made in Montalcino from a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. The result is a high quality wine, which has obtained various national and international awards, including that of the prestigious Wine Spectator magazine. Luce Toscana IGT is a wine defined as SuperTuscan, all to be discovered, a label much appreciated also abroad. An authoritative wine, highly pleasant, for a perfect interpretation of the Montalacino area. The grape harvest, which takes place between September and October, is followed by alcoholic fermentation in steel, then the wine macerates on the skins for about 4 weeks, after which the malolactic fermentation in wood begins. Finally, the wine is aged for 24 months in barriques. The result is a complex red, very expressive, intense, a rather aromatic wine, with a sincere and well-structured sip, which emerges for its persistence and for its beautiful gustatory freshness.
