Michel Loriot, defined as "the melomaniac winemaker", believes that music interacts with both plants and wine. For this reason, sweet melodies accompany all the various phases of production, from the vineyard to the cellar. Michel leads 7 hectares of vineyards in Festigny, a small village in the Vallée de la Marne and a place of choice for the cultivation of pinot meunier; here, at the end of the 19th century, the history of Champagne Loriot begins with Léopold, winemaker and saxophonist, who was the first to create a grape press in his village. In addition to meunier, Michel grows chardonnay and pinot noir and today he is also helped in the company by his daughter Marie, a winemaker, and by her husband, production manager.

Furthermore, the company, which also aims at maximum environmental respect, always protecting biodiversity, expertly manages the vineyard, so as to bring high quality grapes to the cellar, with typical characteristics and very concentrated aromas. At the end of production, Michel with skill and experience, assisted by his family, tastes the various wines and elaborates the cuvées that will become, to the tune of the most beautiful classical symphonies, Champagne Loriot.
