Marsala DOC Superiore Dry VITO CURATOLO ARINI

Marsala DOC Superiore Dry is a fortified wine produced by the Vito Curatolo Arini winery, which is the reference name for those who want to taste the real Marsala. Obtained from a blend of native Sicilian vines including Grillo, Catarratto and Inzolia, this fortified wine perfectly represents the tradition of the area. The grapes show a particular propensity for natural oxidation. This aspect is combined with the fact that they are able to reach a particularly concentrated sugar content, due to the favorable climatic conditions. Once the best grapes have been harvested, the grapes are vinified in the traditional way. After the addition of alcohol, which blocks the fermentation, the wine is left to age for more than five years in oak barrels. With balanced notes of toasted almond, dried figs and raisins, with delicate hints of vanilla and wood, the palate is monito, elegant and moderately dry. It is suitable for pairing with rumor-based preparations, sweet ricotta or fruit or almond-based desserts and is surprising with chocolate. Also suitable with hard cheeses.
