Merlot Friuli Colli Orientali DOC Livio Felluga 2019

Merlot Colli Orientali DOC is a wine produced in the Livio Felluga cellar, in the prestigious Collio Friulano. The company originated after the Second World War and still represents one of the milestones of Friulian viticulture, thanks to the meticulous and rigorous work of the owner family. The grapes come from the Merlot vines, typical in this area made up of marl and sandstone and with a temperate climate, elements that give the wine greater expression. After the harvest, through the selection of the best bunches, fermentation starts with the classic maceration on the skins. Subsequently, we proceed to the maturation which takes place in steel tanks and in French oak barrels, for a period of about 1 year. Before being marketed, the wine ages for a few months in the bottle. Merlot Colli Orientali DOC is an enveloping and intense wine, perfect for immediate drinking, but can evolve in the cellar for 3 or 4 years.
