The Chianti DOCG "Monrosso" was born in the territory of the municipality of Monsanto, in the province of Florence: here the homonymous Castello di Monsanto winery is located, surrounded by nature and founded on total respect for the environment. The company has vineyards that extend for about 70 hectares, cultivated with modern methods aimed at avoiding consumption and waste. Viticulture is favored by the clayey character of the soil, due to the presence of a stone called galestro, as well as by a temperate climate with well-distributed rainfall throughout the year. There are three vines used for the production of Chianti DOCG "Monrosso", namely Sangiovese, Canaiolo Nero and Merlot. The first two are autochthonous and also widespread in central Italy, while the third is native to the Gironde and cultivated all over the world. The wine in question is a properly tannic red, with a persistent finish and full body, obtained with a process of vinification in steel and aging in oak barrels. Experts consider it the freshest and most lively product in the cellar, without detracting from its structure and elegance.
